farmXtra accumulates degree-days from weather data for your farm using the single-sine method (Zalom et al., 1983) — the same approach used by decision-aid systems in tree-fruit regions — and pairs each model with product guidance sourced from the BC Tree Fruit Production Guide. You get emergence predictions, spray windows and product options without buying a weather station. Own Ecowitt sensors already? Plug them in for ground-truth readings.

Is farmXtra free?
Yes. The Homestead plan is free forever with no credit card: satellite farm map with GPS pins, calendar and to-do list. Farm, Market and Hub are paid monthly plans you can move to at any time, with no time limit on the free plan.
Do I need a weather station for the pest models?
No. farmXtra calculates degree-days from weather data for your farm's location. If you own Ecowitt weather or soil sensors you can connect them on the Market plan, but they are optional.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. farmXtra is a web app that runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install, and you can add it to your home screen.
Which regions does farmXtra support?
farmXtra was built in British Columbia, Canada, with spray guidance sourced from the BC Tree Fruit Production Guide. It also supports farms in the United States and South Africa with regional pest models and regional pricing.
Can my staff have their own logins?
Yes. On the Farm plan and above you can invite staff with role-based access, so everyone sees the same map, tasks and alerts while you control who can edit what.
